The majority of the staff at Grootberg Lodge are employed from the ≠Khoadi-//Hôas Conservancy and local communities. Do feel free to speak to your hosts about the life they lead and the history of the area, as they are a font of information and happy to share their stories with guests.
You can be prepared to enjoy magnificent views, delicious home-cooked local cuisine, a great selection of wine and other drinks, afternoon tea and cake, and comfortable rooms. With luck on your side, you might get to experience sightings of elephant, rhino, or lion.
Fourteen twin and two family units perch along the edge of the plateau, with view across the Klip River Valley. While the family units are designed for two adults and two children, more can be accommodated on request with stretchers.
Our chalets are thoughtfully furnished with cosy beds, crisp white linens, and delightful personal details that enhance the overall comfort and homely ambiance. You'll have ample space to hang your clothes, a safe to guard your valuables, a convenient writing desk, and a private bathroom equipped with a shower, basin and toilet and stocked with towels and complimentary toiletries.
Although water saving is a priority and we request that you use the same towels and bedding for the duration of your stay, if you are unable to, then please leave them on the floor and / or advise the staff you would like them replaced.
